PART I, LINE 2: PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATORS AT SEATTLE CHILDREN'S RESEARCH INSTITUTE, A DIVISION OF THE HOSPITAL, AND THEIR AFFILIATED CENTER BUSINESS OFFICE PERFORM QUARTERLY REVIEWS OF EACH SUBAWARD TO ENSURE THAT RECIPIENTS ARE MANAGING FUNDING IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TERMS OF THE CONTRACT. THE OFFICE OF SPONSORED RESEARCH DEPARTMENT PERFORMS SINGLE AUDITS, RATE AGREEMENTS, AND DISCLOSURE REQUIREMENTS ARE ALL REVIEWED TO ENSURE THEY ARE CURRENT OR EXEMPT. THIS REVIEW IS TO ENSURE THAT THE SUBRECIPIENT HAS THE NECESSARY INFRASTRUCTURE IN PLACE TO MANAGE FUNDS. TERMS OF THE SUBCONTRACTS ARE MODIFIED AS NEEDED TO ADDRESS ANY ISSUES. THE PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR IS RESPONSIBLE TO ENSURE THE WORK IS PERFORMED TO SATISFACTION AND CONSISTENT WITH THE AIMS OF THE PROJECT. THE CENTER BUSINESS OFFICE ENSURES THAT THE INVOICED AMOUNTS ARE ALLOWABLE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE AWARD AND SUBCONTRACT.
