Return Reference Explanation
Grantmaker's Description of How Grants are Used Initial contact with a prospective family include the Organization's standard application and it's requirements, as well as applications for credit counseling and debt consolidation services, and guidance in applying for governmental assistance programs. The Board is apprised of the status and/or outcome of these applications prior to providing support. The families that have been approved by Board for financial assistance have exhausted all reasonable means of support both family and governmental. The Organization has guidelines as to what it will cover and reserves the right to deviate from the standard guidelines when it deems that a situation warrants consideration. There are three types of expenditures which the Organization provides financial assistance for and the families must provide supporting bills and/or receipts: reimbursement for out of pocket expenses paid directly to the families; payment to vendors for services rendered directly to the families; and support services such as insurance premiums, mortgage payments, etc. and special needs not covered by insurance.
