Part I, Line 2: Disbursements in furtherance of Middlebury's exempt programs are made in accordance with procedures or subject to conditions established by Middlebury's governing board designed to ensure that the individuals receiving disbursements from Middlebury are adequately investigated to ensure that they are qualifying recipients. Grant sub-awardees are required to submit A-133 reports which are reviewed by the Middlebury's grant accountant. All billings are reviewed and approved by the principal investigator and grant accountant before being paid. All financial assistance reported in Schedule I, Part III is in the form of tuition reduction/offsets to ensure that financial assistance funds are used for their intended educational purpose.
