Management reviews the completed Form 990 and provides a full copy to all voting members of the governing body prior to filing. The Board is provided a reasonable amount of time to review the return and ask any questions directly to Greater Chicago Food Depository's management or the contact at the independent CPA firm prior to filing.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c	Conflicts of Interest Policy Monitoring - Officers, directors, and key employees are annually required to complete a conflict of interest disclosure statement as a precursor to their service to the organization. Potential conflicts are logged with and monitored by the board legal counsel.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15	Process of determining compensation - Greater Chicago Food Depository utilized a 3rd party software program called PayScale to conduct a compensation survey of all positions. A compensation survey obtains information on base pay (salary), recent or projected pay adjustments, bonuses or bonus eligibility and/or other forms of compensation on selected jobs across or within occupational fields for a labor market defined by its geographical reach (local, regional, national or international), industrial scope and other characteristics. Surveys range from short questionnaires on a few issues or jobs across a limited number of employers conducted by in-house staff to large-scale, comprehensive samples of many employers or workers across industries conducted by outside parties. This survey data was used to help develop pay structures, price jobs, advise on salary offers, forecast wage movement, formulate performance pay matrices, prepare salary budgets, and perform other work requiring sound information on competitive compensation. EACH YEAR, COMPENSATION IS REVIEWED AND ADJUSTED BY THE BOARD COMPENSATION Committee Which includes the current and prior board Chairs and the current vice chair.
