Form 990, Part III, Line 1 PART III INTRODUCTION FOR OVER 70 YEARS, UWMB HAS BROUGHT THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER TO HELP IMPROVE PEOPLE'S LIVES AND STRENGTHEN THE COMMUNITIES IT SERVES. WE BELIEVE THAT FAMILIES ARE SOCIETY'S GREATEST ASSET AND THAT BY BRINGING THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER TO HELP EACH FAMILY REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL WE LAY THE FOUNDATION FOR A STRONG, STABLE REGION AND ROBUST ECONOMY THAT BENEFITS EVERYONE. ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW UWMB ENCOMPASSES OVER 130 CITIES AND TOWNS WITH NET ASSETS OF MORE THAN $60 MILLION. FROM JOINING WITH THE CITY OF BOSTON TO PROMOTE HEALTHY EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT TO PARTNERING WITH THE FINANCIAL SERVICES INDUSTRY TO HELP LOW-INCOME FAMILIES IN LAWRENCE RECEIVE THEIR EARNED INCOME TAX CREDIT, TO PARTNERING WITH GREATER SEACOAST COMPANIES AROUND OUR K-READY KIDS EARLY LEARNING INITIATIVE, WE'RE UNITING PEOPLE AND INVESTING IN PROVEN APPROACHES THAT CREATE LASTING CHANGE. Form 990, Part VI, Line 15a Process to establish compensation of top management official Each year, the Compensation Committee, which is comprised of Board and non-Board members, reviews compensation, benchmarks and performance metrics for the top five positions in the leadership of the organization including the President and Chief Executive Officer. Every three years, the Compensation Committee also completes a review of the external compensation market by engaging an executive compensation consultant to review the compensation and benefits package and set benchmarks for each position. All compensation changes are reviewed and approved each year by the Board of Directors following review and approvals by the Compensation Committee and the Executive Committee of the Board and documented in the meeting minutes. The Chairperson of the Compensation Committee who is also a member of the Board of Directors creates and maintains the documentation of the deliberations of the Committee meetings and decisions regarding the compensation decisions.
