DURING 2021, THRIVENT MADE CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS OF $5,674,479 TO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY INTERNATIONAL. 2) PAUL JOHNSTON IS AN OFFICER OF THRIVENT AND ALSO SERVES AS A DIRECTOR FOR SARGASSO. DURING 2021, THRIVENT PAID SARGASSO $105,716 FOR INSURANCE PREMIUMS. 3) PAUL JOHNSTON ALSO SERVES AS A DIRECTOR OF NORTHSIDE ACHIEVEMENT ZONE. DURING 2021 THRIVENT MADE CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS OF $141,000 TO NORTHSIDE ACHIEVEMENT ZONE. 4) TERESA RASMUSSEN IS AN OFFICER OF THRIVENT. SHE IS ALSO A DIRECTOR OF THE AMERICAN COUNCIL OF LIFE INSURERS (ACLI). DURING 2021, THRIVENT PAID DUES TO ACLI IN THE AMOUNT OF $683,717. 5) TERESA RASMUSSEN ALSO SERVES AS A DIRECTOR OF WALKER ART CENTER, INC. DURING 2021, THRIVENT MADE CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS OF $110,260 TO WALKER ART CENTER. 6) SEVERAL INDIVIDUALS LISTED IN PART VII OF FORM 990 (AND WHO ARE ALSO "INTERESTED PERSONS" AS DEFINED BY THE INSTRUCTIONS TO SCHEDULE L) ARE ALSO BENEFIT MEMBERS OF THRIVENT AND THEREFORE OWN LIFE OR HEALTH INSURANCE, AND/OR ANNUITY CONTRACTS ISSUED BY THRIVENT FINANCIAL FOR LUTHERANS. SEVERAL SUCH INDIVIDUALS PAID PREMIUMS FOR THESE CONTRACTS IN 2021 AND THE AGGREGATE PREMIUMS PAYMENTS FOR ONE OR MORE OF THESE MEMBERS EXCEEDED $100,000 DURING THE TAX YEAR. PROVIDING THESE BENEFITS TO MEMBERS FURTHERS THRIVENT'S TAX EXEMPT PURPOSE AS DESCRIBED IN SECTION 501(C)(8) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE. THERE WAS NO SHARING OF THRIVENT'S REVENUES THAT RESULTED FROM ANY OF THE TRANSACTIONS, WITHIN THE MEANING OF THE SCHEDULE L INSTRUCTIONS. THESE BENEFIT MEMBERS AND THEIR PREMIUM PAYMENT AMOUNTS ARE NOT INDIVIDUALLY DISCLOSED IN THIS INFORMATION RETURN SINCE (1) THE BENEFIT CONTRACTS ISSUED TO THESE MEMBERS WERE ISSUED IN THE NORMAL COURSE OF BUSINESS AND CONTAIN NO FAVORABLE RATES OR TERMS AS COMPARED TO CONTRACTS ISSUED TO OTHER MEMBERS, (2) "MEMBERSHIP DUES" ARE NOT SUBJECT TO REPORTING ON SCHEDULE L, AND PREMIUM PAYMENTS TO THRIVENT FROM MEMBERS ARE LIKE "MEMBERSHIP DUES" FOR THE PURPOSE OF SCHEUDLE L REPORTING, AND (3) TO RESPECT INSURANCE POLICYHOLDER PRIVACY. 7) CERTAIN OFFICERS OF THRIVENT ARE ALSO OFFICERS OF RELATED ORGANIZATIONS REPORTED ON SCHEDULE R OF FORM 990.
