ReturnReference Explanation
Schedule F, Part I, Line 2 Procedures for monitoring use of grant funds The CHEST Foundation's (the foundation) Awards Committee oversees the Clinical Research and Humanitarian Awards Program that offers annual grants to tax-exempt organizations or non-governmental organizations (NGO) to which American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST), a related tax-exempt organization, members donate their time and expertise. A peer review application process is used to select recipients of the funds. The NGO provides proof of its status. The CHEST Foundation only confers part of the monetary grant accompanied by a letter of agreement to the recipient organization. As part of the agreement, the recipient organization must submit a report at the 1 year milestone of the project, if it is a multi-year grant. After the report is reviewed, the remaining grant funds are released. A final report is due at the conclusion of the grant period for all grants.
