ORGANIZATION'S PROCEDURES FOR MONITORING USE OF GRANT FUNDS OUTSIDE THE US: THE SOCIETY MONITORS AND CONDUCTS AN EVALUATION OF OPERATIONS UNDER EACH GRANT. THIS MONITORING MAY INCLUDE VISITS BY REPRESENTATIVES OF THE SOCIETY TO OBSERVE GRANTEE'S PROGRAM PROCEDURES AND OPERATIONS AND TO EVALUATE THE PROGRAM WITH GRANTEE'S PERSONNEL, OR BY THE SOCIETY RECEIVING BENCHMARKING GRANT REPORTS. THE SOCIETY ALSO CONDUCTS FINANCIAL MONITORING OF GRANTEES. ALL GRANTS ARE DOCUMENTED VIA WRITTEN GRANT AGREEMENTS SIGNED BY BOTH PARTIES. GRANT AGREEMENTS GENERALLY REQUIRE GRANTEES TO PROVIDE NARRATIVE AND FINANCIAL REPORTS CONTAINING DETAILED INFORMATION ABOUT GRANT ACTIVITIES: (1) INTERIM REPORTS AT THE MIDPOINT OF THE GRANT; AND (2) FINAL REPORTS WITHIN 60 DAYS OF EXPIRATION, REPAYMENT OR TERMINATION OF THE GRANT.
