BEFORE CONTRIBUTIONS ARE MADE TO FOREIGN ORGANIZATIONS, THE VCOM VICE PRESIDENT FOR INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS, ALONG WITH HIS TEAM OF DIRECTORS FOR INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH AND MISSIONS, CONSULT WITH THE FOREIGN ORGANIZATIONS CONFIRMING THAT THE FOREIGN ORGANIZATIONS ARE PROVIDING THE SERVICES AS AGREED AND ARE ACCOUNTABLE FOR THE DONATED FUNDS. THE VP FOR INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS REVIEWS AND APPROVES THE QUARTERLY CONTRIBUTIONS MADE TO THESE FOREIGN ORGANIZATIONS. COMMUNICATION BY EMAIL, PHONE AND VIDEO CONFERENCING IS CONTINUALLY OCCURRING BETWEEN THE VCOM MISSIONS DEPARTMENT AND THE LIAISONS IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES REGARDING THE OPERATIONS OF THESE SITES; AND IN PREPARATION OF THESE SITES FOR THE VCOM MEDICAL MISSION TRIPS. THE VP FOR INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS AND MISSION DIRECTORS GENERALLY MAKE 12 OR MORE, WEEK LONG, IN PERSON VISITS TO VCOM'S INTERNATIONAL MISSION SITES, MOST OFTEN TRAVELING WITH THE ANNUAL VISITS MADE BY VCOM MEDICAL MISSION TEAMS. THROUGH THESE VISITS, VCOM STAFF ARE ABLE TO CONSULT AND AFFIRM THAT THESE CONTRIBUTIONS ARE BEING PROPERLY USED IN SUPPORT OF THESE SITES. NO VISITS WERE CONDUCTED IN TAX YEAR 2021 DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC SURFACING IN EARLY 2020. VCOM IS HOPEFUL THESE WILL RESUME IN TAX YEAR 2022. |
