RIT'S RACIALLY NON-DISCRIMINATORY POLICY WITH RESPECT TO STUDENT SOLICITATION IS PUBLICIZED IN ALL UNIVERSITY APPLICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS AND OTHER CAMPUS-WIDE PUBLICATIONS. IN ADDITION, RIT PUBLICIZES ITS RACIALLY NON-DISCRIMINATORY EMPLOYMENT POLICIES WHEN RECRUITING FOR OPEN POSITIONS. |

THE UNIVERSITY IS THE RECIPIENT OF APPROPRIATIONS AND ASSISTANCE FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TO OPERATE THE NATIONAL TECHNICAL INSTITUTE FOR THE DEAF AND TO SUPPORT THE FEDERAL WORK STUDY AND FEDERAL SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY GRANT PROGRAMS. THE UNIVERSITY ALSO RECEIVES AN APPROPRIATION OF DIRECT INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT OF "BUNDY AID" FROM THE NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. IN FISCAL YEAR 2021, THE UNIVERSITY AND NTID RECEIVED APPROPRIATIONS ESTABLISHED BY THE CORONAVIRUS RESPONSE AND RELIEF SUPPLEMENTAL APPROPRIATIONS ACT (CRRSAA) and THE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT (ARPA). RIT received Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF II and HEERF III) to provide emergency grants to students and to address the financial impact of lost revenues and campus modifications due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All HEERF II funds (Institutional and Student) and all Institutional HEERF III funds were expended in fiscal year 2021. All student HEERF III funds were expended in fiscal year 2022. NTID received funds to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus, including to defray expenses associated with coronavirus and to enable grants to students. Through fiscal year 2022, NTID has expended all CRRSAA funding and a portion of the ARPA funding. |
